ALL GROUPS SHOULD START BY DESIGNATING A PROJECT MANAGER, A VIDEOGRAPHER AND AN EDITOR.
ALL GROUP MEMBERS WILL CONDUCT RESEARCH AND ASSIST IN ALL ACTIVITIES!

PRE-PROJECT TOPICS TO DISCUSS:

*WHAT ARE THE HEALTH GUIDELINES IMPOSED UPON PUBLIC SCHOOL CAFETERIA MENUS?
*HOW MUCH CAN A SCHOOL AFFORD TO SPEND ON A FULL MENU?
*WHAT FOOD ITEMS CAN WE INCLUDE THAT ARE TASTY, HEALTHY AND AFFORDABLE FOR OUR SCHOOL?


PLANNING YOUR MENU:
STEP 1. BRAINSTORM IDEAS FOR ENTREE, SIDE DISHES AND SNACKS FOR YOUR MENU. LIST ALL IDEAS!
STEP 2. EXAMINE HOW EACH ITEM STACKS UP IN TERMS OF TASTE, HEALTH/NUTRITIONAL VALUE AND COST.
STEP 3. USING THE CONSIDERATIONS ABOVE, SELECT 2 ENTREE, 2 SIDE DISHES AND 2 SNACKS FOR YOUR MENU.
STEP 4. BE SURE YOUR GROUP CAN EXPLAIN THE REASONING BEHIND YOUR MENU SELECTIONS!

MARKETING YOUR MENU:

PRINT MEDIA:
STEP 1. USING THE POSTER PAPER PROVIDED, MAKE A CREATIVE DISPLAY POSTER ADVERTISING YOUR MENU.
STEP 2. HANG YOUR POSTER ON THE WALL OUTSIDE ROOM 328.

PROMOTIONAL VIDEO:
STEP 1. PLAN A 60 SECOND PROMOTIONAL SPOT THAT HIGHLIGHTS YOUR MENU.
STEP 2. FILM YOUR VIDEO ON THE DESIGNATED FILMING DAY. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR MENU ITEMS ON FILMING DAY!
STEP 3. EDIT YOUR VIDEO AND UPLOAD IT TO THE BRHS PROJECTS YOUTUBE PAGE.
STEP 4. TWEET YOUR VIDEO AND TRY TO GET AS MANY RETWEETS AS YOU CAN!

PRESENTATION DAY:
YOUR GROUP WILL PRESENT YOUR MENUS AND PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS TO THE CLASS AND SELECTED ADMINISTRATORS/FACULTY.
YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE TO HAVE MENU ITEMS READY TO SAMPLE.
THE CLASS AND ATTENDEES WILL VOTE ON THE BEST MENU. RETWEETS WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED!
